Sage 100 2025: What You Need to Know
The latest release of Sage 100 delivers many new features that customers like you have suggested. Here's a look at some of the key enhancements and notable updates in Sage 100 2025.
Request for Quote/Purchase Orders
Leveraging both Paperless Office and new features in Sage 100 2025, you can now:
1. Create a quote in Purchase Order Entry
2. Email a Request for Quote to one or multiple vendors using Paperless Office
3. Track and maintain the quote in Quote History
In addition within the Purchase Order module, a new option has been added that can require a cancellation code when deleting orders or quotes.
Sales and Customer Management
For better flexibility, the option to expand the invoice number length to 20 characters (up from 7 previously) has been added in the Accounts Receivable, Sales Order and Job Cost modules. Plus, associated forms, reports, and screens are automatically updated to reflect this.
In addition, there is now the capability to easily copy package tracking numbers so they can be pasted into emails or other documents to minimize the risk of error. In the Accounts Receivable module, additional capability has been added to make it easier to view details of the last invoice date and amount posted for a specific customer.
Inventory Management
Sage 100 2025 introduces the ability to add a Universal Product Code (UPC) or European Article Number (EAN) to inventory items. To make inquiries easier, the ability to sort by product line has been added to the Physical Count Reports. And for more flexible reporting, the ability to exclude items with zero balances has been added to the Inventory Trial Balance.
Reporting and Decision Making
With the latest release, you can enable audit tracking for sales and purchase orders which can then be accessed via the new Audit Viewer button which provides details on all changes, deletions and additions. Plus, new secondary views have been added to PO Request for Quote which now provides better insight on a single page, helping to expedite inquiries and related actions.

Looking Ahead to Sage 100 2026
64-Bit Installations Only
Having made the announcement late last year, Sage plans to release Sage 100 2026 exclusively as a 64-bit application.
In short, Sage 100 2026 will no longer run on a 32-bit Windows system so a little planning now could go a long way when the new release is available, likely in April 2026.
End of Support for 32-Bit
Without getting into the technical details of performance and memory limitations, security concerns, and other issues, Microsoft is ending support for the 32-bit Windows 10 platform in October of 2025. As such, Sage is following the lead by migrating Sage 100 exclusively to 64-bit.
Preparing for the Change
While the switch to 64-bit presents an opportunity to modernize Sage 100 for better performance and scalability, it can also present challenges - particularly as it relates to compatibility with any integrations or 3rd party applications you may also be running.
A little preparation now can save you some headaches down the road.
