AIA Job Cost Billing:
Sage MAS 90 and 200 Integration
The AIA Job Cost Billing program is integrated with the Sage MAS 90 or 200 Job Cost and Accounts Receivable modules. You may also choose to integrate AIA Job Cost Billing with the Sage MAS 90 or 200 General Ledger module.
General Ledger
If AIA Job Cost Billing is integrated with the General Ledger module, all AIA Job Cost revenue and expense information is posted direct to the General Ledger. Postings are based on the Job Type specified within the job. If Work In Process accounting is specified in the Job Cost setup, the accounting method established for each job will determine the accounts that are posted.
Accounts Receivable
All invoices billed through AIA Job Cost Billing are posted to Accounts Receivable customer files. Cash receipts recorded through Accounts Receivable for job invoices are recorded in the Job Masterfile. Retention amounts are recorded for each customer.
Job Cost
The Sage MAS 90 or 200 Job Cost module is used with the AIA Job Cost Billing enhancement module. Standard Job Cost Job Masterfile Maintenance, Cost Code Maintenance, and Job Type Maintenance play important roles in setting up Jobs that require AIA billing method.
How Does AIA Job Cost Billing differ from standard
Job Cost Job Billing?
- Sales tax is not calculated for AIA Jobs. When AIA is selected as the Bill Method in Job Masterfile Maintenance, the Calculate Sales Tax check box is set to be unchecked and is disabled.
- The G702 and G703 forms are not available in standard Sage MAS 90 or 200 Job Cost Job Billing.
- Scheduled Value and Retention amounts may be set for each detail line in AIA Job Setup Maintenance.
- Retention, completed and stored values may be billed for each detail line in AIA Job Billing Data Entry.
- Item detail lines can be linked to one or more cost codes in AIA Job Setup Maintenance.
- Sales Commission is a whole number in AIA Job Cost Billing.
- Individual bills can be set up for exclusion from the AIA Job Billing Register update when updating a batch of AIA Job billings.
- The AIA Job Billing Register and Daily Transaction Register update AIA invoices in Job Cost, Accounts Receivable and General Ledger with AI as the Source Journal identifier.
