What’s Dynamic SEO?

There are some fundamental approaches to get your website ranked higher in search engines like Google, Bing, and Yahoo, but the newest tips and tricks are always changing.

These changes come from new web technologies, people trying to “game” the system, and other factors. There’s even talk now that trying too hard to rank higher gets you penalized.

That means website owners and SEO (Search Engine Optimization) professionals are engaged in an endless cat-and-mouse pursuit of the top rankings.

Dynamic SEO

The rate of change means we have to go beyond one-time consultations and to-do lists that are relevant as long as the search engines don’t change.

Dynamic SEO is an approach where you have an ongoing relationship with an SEO professional, so your company’s website can change when the search engines do. This way, you’re always updated on the top action items that will make you successful online, instead of working off dated information.

Website owners need to be aware of more than just changing search engines. The enhancements you make to your website, like redesigns and navigation adjustments, can factor into SEO as well. An ongoing relationship with an SEO professional can make sure that enhancements don’t interfere with your rankings.

So how can you develop a dynamic SEO strategy?

  • Check in (perhaps every 3 months) with an SEO professional and ask what top 5 things you need to do
  • OR have your marketing team trained on SEO basics, and ask them to stay current on SEO trends
  • OR ask an SEO professional if he or she offers a subscription option, so you can call whenever you need advice
